LIMIN SOUTHBANK is a Caribbean food and drink experience created by Trinidadian-born Chef Sham Mahabir.

LIMIN started as a pop-up bar and restaurant in London’s Old Spitalfields Market in 2018. It quickly won over Londoners' hearts and bellies with its infectious island vibes and home-cooked food and, in 2020, the restaurant opened as a beach club on London’s South Bank.

About LIMIN SOUTHBANK

Plates of Caribbean food like doubles, sweetcorn and puris laid on a table

Experience home-style Caribbean cuisine in London

The LIMIN SOUTHBANK menu takes you to the streets of Trinidad & Tobago with doubles and spinach fritters, while the smells of the juicy jerk chicken will transport you to Montego Bay, Jamaica. The menu is also packed with flavours from Martinique, Barbados and Havana.

Complement your meal with Chef Sham’s signature cocktails. Sip on a refreshing Rum Punch with fresh nutmeg, a Shamgria, our take on the classic Sangria or, for gin lovers, our Orange Is The New Black, with its floral and citrus notes.

LIMIN SOUTHBANK is proud to be part of the South Bank community, one of the few independent restaurants in this vibrant, riverside area of London. Owners Sham and James are passionate about creating a welcoming space for good food, good times and supporting the local community.

Our landlord is Coin Street, a social enterprise working in the London boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark. This means that when you choose to dine and drink at LIMIN or hold your event with us, you’re having a positive impact on the local community.

Your money helps fund co-operative housing, parks, gardens and sports pitches, nurseries, and family and children’s centres in the local community.
